Information you seek before arriving at Arenal Springs

Is there an ATM in the hotel?

No, we do not have an ATM, but there are several full service banks and ATMs in downtown La Fortuna, just 5 miles from the Hotel.


Do you offer transportation to La Fortuna?

No, we do not have a shuttle service, but our staff will be happy to call a taxi for you. The current price is about $12 each way.

Do you offer transportation to/from the airport?

We are happy to offer you private transportation in comfortable, air conditioned mini-vans to or from the international airports, the beaches of Costa Rica, or any other destination in the country. Just ask for your quote. We can also arrange a semi-private shuttle to almost any national destination.

Do you have private parking?

Yes, in addition to a large parking lot near the reception area, we also offer designated parking in front of each bungalow for your extra comfort and convenience.

Do I need a reservation for spa treatments?

Yes, in order to offer the highest quality treatments and the personal attention reservations are necessary.

Is the mini-bar included in my stay?

Yes, the mini bar in your room is stocked with drinks. Master suites include a fully stocked mini bar.

What animals can I expect to see during my stay?

We have counted more than 100 species of tropical birds and dozens of species of butterflies on our property, you may be lucky to see other animals like raccoons, coatis, or even sloths passing through our grounds. In our lake, you will find Tilapia and Rainbow Bass. The surrounding rainforest areas serve as a biological corridor where it is common to hear the chant of the Howler Monkeys. We also have a horse stable, and it is possible to see the cattle of the neighboring farms from the rooms near the property´s edge.

Do you have a minimum stay requirement?

No, while we recommend at least a 2-3 night stay to truly enjoy the hotel and the region, and many of our guests stay as many as 7-10 days, we have no minimum requirement. We are happy to have you in our home, however long your schedule allows.

Are the hot springs open to the public?

No, we do not sell day-passes or allow anyone on to the property without a hotel reservation. This way, our hot springs are an exclusive feature for our guests, and we can protect the security of our guests and their belongings.

Do you have a doctor on staff?

No, but we have an agreement with 2 local private clinics. If you should need a doctor for any reason during your stay, our staff will be happy to make your appointment, accompany you if necessary, or arrange house calls. We also have wheel chairs on site, in case of any emergency or need you may have.

Is the hotel accessible for guests with disabilities?

Absolutely. Each area of our hotel has been designed to be fully wheelchair accessible, from our spacious first floor rooms, reception desk, and each of our bars and restaurants to our swimming pools and hot springs.

Is there a security guard?

Yes, our hotel entrance is carefully guarded, 24 hours a day, where each vehicle that enters is verified with the reservation list. From 6 pm to 6 am there is also an additional guard who makes his rounds through the area of the guest rooms for further security.
