This 3 km (2 mi) circuit trail will take you through the primary jungle, high above the trees, for a bird’s-eye view of the forest below. Along the way we will cross 10 fixed bridges, and 6 suspension bridges, all at different heights, arranged to afford the most amazing viewpoints of the forest and the nearby Arenal Volcano. Keep your eyes open because mammals, spiders, snakes, insects, and birds all live in this jungle. Your experienced naturalist guide will help you spot many of these amazing species of fauna and tell you about them and the flora you come across in the forest canopy, undergrowth, and the forest floor.
While there is a self-guided option, we wholeheartedly recommend this guided option to see much more and fully appreciate the incredible balance and complexity of the tropical rainforest and its value as one of the most important ecosystems in the world.
