Kayak Safari

Learn basic kayaking techniques while taking in the beautiful native flora and fauna od Costa Rica. You can choose a single or double kayak and paddles gently along the slow-flowing Peñas Blancas River. Well-hidden in this the rainforest that surrounds the river you may be able to spot sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and other reptiles, as well as a variety of birds like toucans, herons, martin kingfishers. The trained eye of your certified naturalist guide will help.

Before heading back to the hotel, we will stop at a local farm for a mini-cultural tour to learn about the plants, processes, and products of sugar cane, coffee, and cocoa. After learning about the importance of each of these crops for our country, we will treat you to some snacks and taste-testing.
