Lake Arenal by Kayak or Canoe

Lake Arenal by Kayak or Canoe

Lake Arenal is the largest lake in Cosa Rica with an area of 85 sq. km (33 sq. mi). This man-made freshwater lake produces much of the hydroelectricity that powers the homes of Costa Rica. It sits at the base of the Arenal Volcano providing amazing views, lush vegetation and calm waters that make it great for both kayaking and canoeing. Exotic wildlife lives among this aquatic paradise. The serene tour is a great time to spot monkeys, iguanas, a large variety of birds, and occasionally, wild boar, deer, coatis, and tapir.

We will stop at a small island to enjoy fresh tropical fruit along the way.
