Ti-Cain Restaurant

Ti-Cain Restaurant

At Arenal Springs Resort

Our primary restaurant was named for the Maleku Indian word for River or Spring.

In this cheerfully decorated, high ceiling, open air restaurant you will enjoy a huge breakfast sure to please everyone in the crowd.

Supreme view of Arenal Volcano from every room

The spacious separate stations means you almost never have to wait in line and you can head straight to the areas that interest you most; a much more delightful and relaxing way to do a buffet.

Here you will find Costa Rican traditional dishes like Gallo Pinto, Carne en Salsa (Shredded beef), fried plantains, and tortillas, in addition to American classics like pancakes, waffles, and hash browns. There is an egg station where you can order your egg or omelet just the way you want it and watch as it is prepared for you. There is a bread station complete with a toaster, butter and jellies, in addition to several homemade breads made fresh each morning. In the cold station you will find a variety of cereals, milk, yogurt, fresh tropical fruit, and 2 flavors of juice. Our attentive wait staff will also be ready to offer you fresh Costa Rican coffee or the hot tea of your choice.

  • The breakfast buffet is included in your stay and is available from 6:30 am to 9:30 am.

In the afternoons and evenings diners can savor a variety of Costa Rican and international dishes like sizzling skillets of grilled beef, chicken, and shrimp, which are flambéed at your table, filet mignon, tilapia stuffed with shrimp in avocado sauce, our chef´s chicken which is seasoned and grilled, then covered in melted mozzarella cheese, butterflied and covered again in a fresh Pomodoro sauce, among many more options from our exceptional a la carte menu.

In the evenings, charming instrumental music plays in the background, and during busy seasons we often hire local musicians to offer live dinner music on the weekends to delight our guests. In this family-friendly atmosphere you will enjoy gourmet food, where the local flavor always shines through. Many dishes are served on wooden platters, wrought iron skillets, and on plates dressed with a plantain leaf, a traditional way to both wrap in flavor and warmth, often used by farmers and coffee-pickers, as they went to spend the day working the fields.

Arenal Springs Resort offers an extensive wine list to accompany your meal, as well as delicious cocktails, national and international beers, soft drinks, and fresh fruit juices and smoothies. Before you go, be sure to enchant your taste buds with one of our desserts, like the fluffy chocolate – tangerine mousse, or our passion fruit and strawberry cheesecake.

Near the restaurant you will find private gazeebos, where you can enjoy an unforgettable honeymoon or anniversary dinner, pop the question, or just celebrate life together. The surrounding sheer curtains can also be closed to give you even more privacy. Our pleasant staff will wait on you hand and foot to assure this dinner is beyond your imagination, and a memory that will last a lifetime. There is no additional charge to use the gazeebos, but they are subject to availability. Feel free to ask our restaurant staff to reserve one for you.

Ti- Cain Restaurant is open daily from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm. Remember that you can also enjoy any of our dishes from the comfort of your room for no additional charge.

Note:
Our hotel is supplied from an external electric service by a recognized company, which also supplies electricity to the whole area. Nevertheless, if this one faults, we have in our property power generators to cover the operation of the hotel.
